- Spring 2022: Dr. Torres leads undergraduate student team to 1st place win at the Texas Aggregate and Cement Association student competition
- Spring 2022: Drs. Shi and Torres lead undergraduate student team to Overall Grand Champion at NASA MINDS student competition
